Katherine is a nonprofit explorer with local and international nonprofit experience. Her first grant writing success came when she was awarded a Fulbright Research Grant to Australia. The grant allowed her to spend one year in Darwin, Australia studying a native fish while working with rural Aboriginal communities.
As a Grant Writer and Nonprofit Consultant for charities, government entities, private foundations, schools, and philanthropists, Katherine's business of research and writing promotes creative and strategic solutions and advancements for nonprofit organizations, it's leaders, and for the communities served. She received her grant training from The Grantsmanship Center out of Los Angeles, California and is a member of the Grant Professionals Association (GPA) and the Georgia State Chapter of the GPA.
Katherine has a Bachelor of Science from University of Georgia and received some graduate training at University of California, Berkeley before moving back to Georgia. Katherine is also a contributing writer of international travel features in Lakelife, a lifestyle and travel magazine for Georgia's Lake Country.
